Turn Boring Conversation Into Brilliant Moments

There’s no question that over the years, in many conversations, I’ve felt bored. I’ve struggled to find value… but I’m not convinced it’s entirely the other persons fault.
And…based on the fact that one of my greatest fears is wasting my life, it forces me to find ways to make every moment count.
Knowing this about myself, how can I make the most of every conversation? What if the power truly resides in my ability to navigate that conversation and it’s not the others persons job to entertain, inspire or educate me?
Here are two strategies that will turn every encounter into an opportunity:
1.) ASK QUESTIONS TO LEARN. Every person is brilliant.
They have a message and a gift for the world. You may only spot it if you’re willing to seek it out.
In your next conversation, try being an detective.
Make it your mission to uncover the genius born within all of us. There is light in every soul, and pure gold within every being.
What questions can you ask that allow you to find the best in each person? Often times, it’s not that they’re boring, it’s that you’re in need of better questions.

If you’re in a conversation with someone that’s challenging you, just remember that part of your mission on earth is to serve others. Yon can do this by asking great questions.
If the quality of our questions determine the quality of our life, then the quality of our questions determine the quality of our conversations.
And once you ask a question, how can you be a great listener?
How can you acknowledge or honor the person you’re with?
How can you lift them up?
There success is tied to yours – it may be difficult to connect those dots – but it’s 100% true. A rising tide lifts all ships (said someone brilliant).
We’re all on team human.
If those around you fail, so you do. So do the people you love.
