#18 Pushing The Limits, Your Greatest Opponent & Mysterious Materialization with Founder and Owner of Strength Personal Training, John Edwin

When you go all in, people mysteriously materialize & opportunities happen. – John Edwin Click To Tweet

Today I’m chatting with my long-time friend, John Edwin. He is the founder and owner of Strength Personal Training (StrengthPhilly.com). John has done over 30,000 personal training sessions over the past 15 years.  He’s an amazing father, husband, friend and man-of-faith. He pursues his passions with great energy.

John’s story is inspiring.  Here’s a guy that followed his heart, pursued his dream and is living big every day.  We all have so much to learn from this dude.

What’s super cool, is that after years of pushing himself and others, John knows just how far to take it.  Have you ever wondered if you’re going to far?  Asking too much of yourself and others?  When does it get unhealthy?

In his interview, you’ll meet a guy who strives to make a difference in someone’s life every day.  John’s mantra is “Believe in yourself and help others.”  Clear and to the point – just like Johnny himself.

Today’s topics include:

  • One question that brought John to tears
  • Why health became John’s passion
  • How he staged up his business
  • When to go all in with your dreams
  • How to push through limits to get to the next level
  • Ways to create an environment that will lift you up

John’s enthusiasm resonates from his core as he does what he was born to do. Whether it is success in family, business or fitness, he believes that if you want to do something great, you should mirror someone great. John says that limiting thoughts can be the biggest obstacle in our paths. Can you relate? If you are engaged and passionate about what you want to do, don’t let self-doubt or the doubt of other people destroy your passion.  Amen John!  Let’s get to the interview.

I have been with John for 10 years. I had my daughter who is now 10 years old. I was 208 pounds and with in 5 months JOHN had me back to my normal weight but then started to shred my body! John taught me how to loose the weight but taught me a way of life not just to get weight off. Not only did John help me physically but mentally as well as emotionally. He got me through a divorce that to me isn’t just a trainer that to me is a man of heart and God sent. John isn’t the type of trainer who’s trying to get into your pants!!! We know those types of trainers, he is a family man who is all about making you a better you all around. I enjoyed listening to John on this podcast! Proud and honored to say HE IS MY TRAINER and a dear friend of mine! I’m glad the world got a taste of John by listening to this.

So cool getting to know more about the amazing man who’s been my trainer for the last few years! John has accomplished so much in his life yet remains incredibly humble; he is a joy to be around (even when he’s pushing me right to my limit)! This podcast perfectly captured what time spent with John is like- informative, motivating, and inspiring. John is truly living his best life and uplifts anyone he comes into contact with; thanks for featuring him on this series!

Loved this podcast!! First time listening after it was mentioned by Hal Elrod… chose to listen to this episode because of the great name and feeling the need to push my own limits. John Edwin is truly inspirational! Love his story and his passion to help people live great lives! I’m not usually one to “take a front row seat” but today I reached out to John Edwin to tell him how much I appreciated his message and how he is living his life!! The front row is awesome! Thanks for the inspiration Jon and John!! 🙂
